Middle School

Middle school students will be studying FAQ (Faithfully Asking Questions) from the We Believe curriculum. Our young people will learn to navigate scripture as they address issues of life and faith.

High School

 High school students will employ a coffee-house setting to study Faith Questions. Patterned around the marks of membership from the Presbyterian Book of Order, these mini-courses are based on faith questions posed by older youth, and encourage students to look to scripture and our faith tradition in relevant, responsive ways.

Confirmation and The Church

The confirmation experience is for youth eighth grade or older who are interested in becoming a member of the church.  It is a journey that begins in November and concludes when these young men and women make their commitment to the church in June.

Confirmation is meant to be a mature statement of faith by an already baptized person. Confirmation has also been referred to as "affirmation of baptism." In simple terms, it is a chance for someone to affirm the vows their parents made for them at baptism: professing their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, renouncing evil and affirming their reliance on God’s grace, and declaring their intention to participate actively and responsibly in the worship and mission of the church.

 During the journey of confirmation, the youth will discover their faith and learn how to articulate what that means to them. They will explore God’s grace in a world that is filled with evil and explore how to fully rely on that grace along the road of life. They will also explore what it means to be active in the worship and mission of the church. At the end of this wonderful journey, our youth will be ready to serve the church that has been serving them.
