"Jacob the Trickster"

A puppet musical performed by the Hidenwood youth puppeteers on November 13, 2011. 

 

"Jacob the Trickster" is a 25-minute puppet show about the rivalry between Isaac's twin boys, Jacob and Esau. The name Jacob means "trickster" or "striver".  This story chronicles Jacob's striving to receive blessing in his life. He tricks his brother and fools his father for personal gain and ends up alienating himself from his own family. Over time, Jacob realizes that the true blessings of life come from God who has already blessed him. In the end Jacob reconciles with his brother.
