Hidenwood Presbyterian Preschool is a participant in the Star Quality Initiative, a state program to improve quality in early childhood care and education across the state. With the majority of a child's brain development occurring during the first five years of life, high quality care and education is critical. 

Hidenwood has been awarded three stars which means the program's quality surpasses standards set by various regulatory agencies. Staff is trained in early childhood education and will continue to expand their knowledge and skills. Classrooms promote positive relationships, engaging activities, positive behavior management, and concept development. Teachers are trained in CPR and First Aid. Child/staff ratios are low. The program values parent communication, supports individual needs, and encourages smooth transitions to kindergarten.
