National Accreditation

Hidenwood Presbyterian Preschool is accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs, a division of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the nation's largest organization of early childhood educators.

In an accredited program, you will see frequent, warm interactions among adults and children, planned learning activities appropriate to the children's age and development, specially trained teachers, a low adult/child ratio, many varied materials, a healthy and safe environment, nutritious snacks, regular communications between staff and families, and ongoing evaluation of the program.

Three-Star Rated

Hidenwood Presbyterian Preschool is also a participant in the Star Quality Initiative, a state program to improve quality in early childhood care and education across the state. With the majority of a child's brain development occurring during the first five years of life, high quality care and education is critical. 

Hidenwood has been awarded 3 stars which means the program's quality surpasses standards set by various regulatory agencies. Staff is trained in early childhood education and will continue to expand their knowledge and skills. Classrooms promote positive relationships, engaging activities, positive behavior management, and concept development. Teachers are trained in CPR and First Aid. Child/staff ratios are low. The program values parent communication, supports individual needs, and encourages smooth transitions to kindergarten.
