Children & Youth
Jr Disciples
Open to children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We meet on Tuesday nights from 5:30-7:00 for fellowship, faith and fun. Each week we come together for a meal, music, games and crafts while we are learning about our faith. The Jr Disciples maintain the courtyard garden as part of their mission; selling produce to church members and using their resources to support mission work of their choosing. Our current session will start on September 12 and run through December 12, 2023. For more information please contact [email protected] or call the church at 757 596-1151.

Music
We believe that the arts are an integral part of our worship and the life of our community. With this in mind, the music and fine arts ministry at Hidenwood Presbyterian Church is dedicated to providing opportunities for everyone – old or young, advanced or beginner, musician or non-musician – to express their faith in ways meaningful to them.
Sanctuary Choir
Diane Drury is our Director of Music Ministry. Currently our choir is practicing on Sundays after worship from 11:45-12:45 pm in the music room. The choir leads the congregation in the traditional worship service every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and at special services throughout the year. A couple of times each year we have special music with guest musicians. The Sanctuary Choir performs a wide variety of repertoire, from classical to contemporary, hymn arrangements to black gospel. Any person able to match pitch and carry a tune is invited to join – no audition or musical ability required! For more informtion or to join the choir contact our music director Diane Drury.
