Adult Programs

Adult Programs – Summer of Prayer beginning on Pentecost, June 9, 2019

Pentecost Devotional. Join Faith in Motion period of prayer and discernment as we read our Pentecost Devotional, written for Hidenwood Presbyterian Church by Dr. Keith Curran. Click here to read the devotional.

Daily Prayer. Are you ready to commit to daily prayer for Hidenwood Presbyterian Church? If you are ready, Faith Formation hopes that the congregation will pray every day at noon for the church as we continue to discover anew who we are as a church and where the Holy Spirit is leading us for the future.

Summer of Prayer conversations at 9:15. Faith Formation will be offering a series of discussions on prayer during the Sunday school hour this summer. The topics will include prayer basics, The Lord’s prayer, praying through Scripture, new and old prayer practices for everyone to try.

Prayer to Go. Faith Formation will have prayer “Take Out” boxes for those of you who are traveling this summer. The boxes will have suggestions for travel conversations, ways to find prayer space during vacation, prayer starters and web sites for devotionals that can go with you. For families with children there will be child friendly activities and options to help you incorporate prayer into you child’s summer, helping them grow closer to God even if you are on the go!

Faith Formation hopes that everyone will be willing to commit to 3 of our summer opportunities as we continue to see new ways that the Holy Spirit is active and moving through our congregation.
